Dr. Edwin Sabuhoro is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management and African Studies at Penn State University, USA.
Over the past 20 years, he has worked in strategic tourism planning and development, community-based tourism development, and protected area management in both the public and private sectors.
His work with Mountain Gorillas and local communities in the Virunga was featured on CNN African Voices in 2015, and he was named one of the 2015 CNN Heroes.
Dr. Sabuhoro recently authored his memoir titled “Between Gorillas: My Mother, Her Dreams, and Me”.
