Uganda tourism impact
Our Mandate

Advancing Uganda’s Tourism

Our strategic focus areas for building a resilient, professional, and competitive tourism sector.

Strategic Focus

Driving sustainable growth for the private sector

At UTA, our work is centered on creating an enabling environment for tourism businesses to thrive.

We work tirelessly to ensure that the private sector's voice is heard in policy decisions, that standards are raised through continuous professional development, and that the industry is coordinated for maximum impact.

Tourism strategy meeting

Our Core Functions

We deliver value to our members and the industry through four key strategic pillars.

Training programs and mentorship to enhance professional standards and service excellence.

We work to influence policy decisions that affect the tourism sector. Key activities include:

  • Conflict resolution and mediation between subsectors.
